Culture of History

Curator – Boris Stepanov

The notion “culture of history” sets a wide horizon for the exploration of different forms and types of the actualization of the past and modeling of the future in contemporary culture. We are particularly interested in various types of historicity within different environments and urban landscapes; in institutions and groups involved into invention of (post)modern historical traditions. We also pay attention to media representations of the past and to possibilities contemporary media provide for changes in the culture of history.
