Профессор Клаус Гества рассказал об истории экологических движений в Европе времен «холодной войны»
Аннотация
The lecture presents the concepts, approaches and leading ideas of a soon starting international research project jointly financed by the German and the French national science foundation. With an explicitly environmental perspective this project intends to bring together the analysis of the two most fundamental processes of change since the 1970s: the collapse of European state socialism and the end of the Cold War on the one hand and the globalization on the other hand. In the first part of lecture deals with interesting case studies on the Baltic Sea and on the river Danube as polluted and contested cross-border socio-ecological systems. In the second part the lecture picks the interplay between global processes, state power and regional dynamics out as the central theme for further research. The main aim of the lecture (as of the French-German research project) is to demonstrate how environmental issues shaped the world of the Cold War and how the environmental history were in return shaped by the dramatic restructuring of the international and the social order since the 1970s.
