In January–June 2015 Alexandra Kolesnik makes a research internship at the Department of History (University College London) in the framework of HSE academic postgraduate program.


In January–June 2015 Alexandra Kolesnik makes a research internship at the Department of History (University College London) in the framework of HSE academic postgraduate program. The topic of her dissertation research ("Historical representations in British popular musical culture of the 1960–1980") involves analysis of rare audiovisual sources, as well as work in libraries and archives. The internship program includes work in the project “Cultural Memory and British Cinema-Going! of the 1960s” led by Prof. Melvin Stokes. The project is focused on the study of British popular culture in the 1960s, mainly cinema, but also the cases from the history of popular music. Alexandra also participates in the scientific seminar for students “Arts & Humanities Research Student Seminars” (Department of History at University College London) and seminars of Institute of Historical Research (University of London).
