Alexandra Kolesnik participated in conference at King’s College London

On May 28-30, IGITI Research assistant Alexandra Kolesnik participated in the conference “Sight and Sound” organized by the Department of Music of King’s College London and University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill). She presented a paper “Sounds like music hall: the Kinks’ representation of the British musical past” based on her dissertation research. See the conference programme and abstracts.

On May 28-30, IGITI Research assistant Alexandra Kolesnik participated in the conference “Sight and Sound” organized by the Department of Music of King’s College London and University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill). The conference was attended by young researchers from Europe and the United States, first of all, musicologists and historians, and key-note speaker Professor of Music Nicholas Cook (University of Cambridge) gave a lecture “Seeing Sound, Hearing Images”.
