Fayer V. V. Alexandrian Philology and Homeric Hexameter.
   Alexandijskaja fililogia i gomerovskij gekzametr. M., University of Dmitri Pozharskij, 2010. - 255 s.

Alexandrian Library in the times of Ptolemees was a birthplace of European philology. Zenodotus, Aristophanes and Aristarchus, who were the heads of the Library in III-II c. BC, were interested mostly in textology of the Iliad and the Odyssey. The book is focused on the problem: did Alexandrian scholars take into account metrics of the Homeric hexameter in the course of their work on their editions? Study begins with the general account of Alexandrian textology; it is intended for a general public interested in antiquity and the history of scholarship.
