On 10 October 2019 IGITI research fellow Jan Surman took part in the round-table "Habsburg Knowledge Initiative: Central Europe in Historical Perspective" at the conference "Empire of Circulation: Habsburg Knowledge in its Global Settings" (IKT Annual Conference 2019, Vienna).

Jan discussed there possibilities and limits of the application of circulation to history of science of Habsburg Central Europe, together with Franz Fillafer, Johannes Feichtinger, Natasha Wheatley, Marianne Klemun, Christine Lebeau and Werner Telesko.
