German Paleography Summer School took place on September 26 on Zoom, with Kirill Levinson as speaker
For the third time since 2019, IGITI and the German Historical Institute in Moscow have held a summer school teaching young scholars to read German manuscripts written between the 16th and the early 20th centuries. This time, due to the pandemic, it had to move to Zoom and included no guided tours of archives. Nevertheless, the summer school attracted 13 participants from Moscow and St. Petersburg. Lectures and practical exercises were offered by Kirill Levinson (IGITI) and Albrecht Ernst (State Archives of Baden-Wuerttemberg, Stuttgart, Germany), with Denis Sdvizhkov (GHIM) moderating the event.
