Alisa Maximova took part in a sociology of culture conference

The international conference was held online on March 10-12. It was organised by the European Sociological Association's Sociology of Culture research network (RN7) and University of Helsinki.

The topic of the conference was "En-Compass-ing Culture(s): Beyond East/​West and South/​North". Alisa Maximova has presented two papers: "Memory construction for a local community: from within and from outside" (co-authored with Varvara Kobyshcha), and "The Local, the National, and the International in Popular Music Memorialisation in Ekaterinburg, Russia".
