Anastasia Zolotukhina at the annual congress of the Canadian Society of Renaissance Studies

IGITI Research Fellow Anastasia Zolotukhina took part in the annual congress of the Canadian Society of Renaissance Studies with a paper on Poggio Bracciolini and Lorenzo Valle.

The Congress was held online on May 12-14. Anastasia's presentation was titled 'Reenactment vs love: two approaches to the past in the Poggio Bracciolini's and Lorenzo Valla's controversy' and was devoted to the most important controversy of Poggio Bracciolini and Lorenzo Valla 1452-53.
The study has shown the changed attitude towards the past: from the continuity of tradition to the alienation and reconstruction of the past.
