    Poletayev Institute for Theoretical and Historical Studies in the Humanities (Russian acronym - IGITI) was founded in 2002.

     

     

    In 2010 it was named after Andrei V. Poletayev.

     

    Currently the Institute is conducting theoretical research in four main areas: History of ideas and sociology of knowledge; History of sciences of language and text; Studies of contemporary culture; Studies in theoretical sociology.
