The article “Eternity for Plato: The Dialogue between Parmenides and Timaeus” by Aleksei Pleshkov, was published in the book “Plato’s Parmenides. Selected Papers of the Twelfth Symposium Platonicum” (Academia Verlag, 2022).  

IGITI Research Fellow Anastasia Zolotukhina took part in the annual congress of the Canadian Society of Renaissance Studies with a paper on Poggio Bracciolini and Lorenzo Valle.

The article "Soviet music heritage as a discursive middle ground in Belarusian political conflict" is dedicated to the Soviet-Belarusian VIA "Pesnyary". The article deals with the perception of VIA as a cultural heritage and the redefinition of the Soviet cultural heritage in the context of the political conflict in modern Belarus.

On December 14, a public lecture was presented by Juliane Fürst (Leibniz Center for Contemporary History (Potsdam) and Humboldt University of Berlin) “Why Soviet Hippies were the better Hippies: A Short Survey of Soviet Flower Power, its History and its Historical Significance”. The event was held within the framework of the mirror laboratory “Late/Post-Soviet: Values, Actors, Practices”.

Oleg Morozov became an associate member of the International Commission for the History of Universities - a community of researchers from around the world that studies the formation and development of science and scientific institutions.

Thematic issue titled Russian Historians and Public History is focused on discussing public history in Russia.

Poletaev Institute researchers Irina Savelyeva, Boris Stepanov, Kirill Levinson, Olesya Kirchik, Alexander Dmitriev, Alexandra Kolesnik, and Daria Khlevnyuk presented at the 53rd Annual Conference of the Association of East European, Eurasian and Slavonic Studies (ASEEES), held in New Orleans (USA) in person on November 18-20 and online on December 1-3, 2021.

On 30 September - 1 October, the tenth, anniversary "Poletaev Readings" were held. Unlike previous conferences, they were not devoted to the history of the humanities and social sciences, but to the future of theoretical knowledge, in particular in connection with the development of big data. How can we talk about academic ethics and the moral economy of the university?
